Dear TBUG VIP Onsite Attendees
The TBUS Board of Director has always strived to put our members first. After much research, discussion and feedback, on all sides of the COVID-19 issue, there is no shortage of valid and important considerations about safety.
There have been recent announcements that Broadway, AEG ( a worldwide music entertainment presenter) theaters, and many festivals in the United States are now requiring these safety protocols to enter their events: proof of vaccination or a recent COVID test. For the safety of all attendees, artists, vendors, and staff to the Live VIP TBUG event, the TBUS Board of Directors has made the decision that we are going to require the same.
All attendees, artists, vendors, and staff attending TBUG at the Sirata Beach Resort will be required to show their vaccination cards or a recent negative COVID test (within 72 hours of the event) and pass a temperature check at our registration desk to receive their VIP and/or Companion Passes.
Should you choose to not comply with our request you have three options:
Stay safe, stay healthy - and we hope to see you at TBUG!

Luau Concert We wrap up our event Sunday afternoon with an outdoor luau on the beach with music by Kalani Rose,. Kalani will also be teaching some Hula Dance Sessions. Enjoy our fabulous buffet and wind down as we wrap up another great weekend of music, education and fun.
Open Mic Night Onsite and Online with Jay Nunes. We will have an open mic Friday at the Sirata for our onsite VIP Players and Saturday Night on Zoom for all of our online attendees. Due to the number of attendees there will be a limit of 1 song per player. We will post a signup sheet so you will know when your time is coming.
Ukulele Opportunity Drawing You have chances to win 9 different ukuleles and a cajon plus 12 gift baskets celebrating our 12th year anniversary. We will post the items and descriptions in September. Just pick your item(s), buy your opportunity drawing tickets .... $10 per chance. We will be doing drawings all weekend starting Friday night. We will announce winners at the live event, on zoom and post on website. If you are one of the lucky winners at the live event you will take your prize home, if you are an online lucky winner we will ship your prize to you. Proceeds fund community service projects.

First time attending a festival. Love the idea of having the video for two weeks. I can practice then start the video. So many times you try to understand but just do not get it, this way I have a real chance to succeed. Miss the real time jams we had at the library and other venues but TBUS has really helped. Thank you.
All the workshops have been very helpful. Amanda’s songwriting workshop provided practical step by step directions. (I haven’t watched the Naked Waiters songwriting workshop yet.)
AWESOME! Lots of FUN while LEARNING ALOT. A future class I'd like is Memorization Skills. Amanda Boisen mentioned that as a skillset!
You did a wonderful job in coordinating all the activities. Real TEAMWORK !

I miss the live vibe and sitting at the beach around the firepit listening to my tribe playing music, but... in a global pandemic, this three-day event was pretty great! Thank you to the organizers, sponsors, musicians and teachers who took part! I bought a sticker "playing it safe!" Love that. Make it a tee-shirt!
Wonderful way to lift our spirits in these sad times. Of course, Tennis Ukes really miss performing in person and visiting with everyone. Hopefully, next year we can attend and see you all. Thanks for all your hard work getting this organized.

I totally enjoyed the online festival, and thought it was well done by all. I had to miss all of Sunday since I had to attend a funeral for my cousin.
I also appreciated the promo videos from the sponsors. They actually reached more people that way.
Such a great experience! Wow, the workshops! Really great subjects. Loved them all. Loved Gerald Ross's three note system. Very cool, and great for folks who struggle with barre chords. Loved Devin Scott's solo'ing approach. Both classes that bridge players to improve their skills. Loved Mim Ukes's performance class. Loved Jay Nunes's open mics. So much talent! Loved that they evolved into jams. (I turn into a pumpkin at midnight tho). Loved Matt Walden's looping presentation. And I look forward to making up the workshops I couldn't attend. Loved all the performers! Danielle Anderson always amazing!
A memorable event. I also enjoyed learning more about TBUS and all the fine work you do as an organization, not just to further uke education, but to help with real social issues. Bravo! Very exciting!

Last year at Sirata was my first TBUG, and it was wonderful. TBUS is the ukulele club that the rest of us can learn from! I enjoyed this year and was glad we had the open mikes where we could see old friends, send notes and wave hi! I think it was a good plan to block us out of the workshops, it had to be easier for the presenters not to worry about The Oblivious Unmuted or other interruptions. I really enjoyed the Naked Waiters and Amanda's songwriting workshops and Danielle's video-how-to workshop. I can't wait to visit the recordings of the ones I missed! Thanks TBUS for all the inspiration and ideas for myself and for my club.
Hope to go next year 2021 and play!

Ok. True story. I’m walking through the Airport with my Uke. A girl Stops me and says “Were you at the Ukulele convention ? I was at the bar on Thursday and we had so much fun singing and dancing and just listening to the Ukulele players. I talked to a guy with white hair”. She repeated. “ it was so much fun”

Fabulous time the entire weekend! Stayed up too late both Friday and Saturday, but it was worth it! Awesome workshops, will take some time to absorb, then move forward with new skills! THANKS!
I totally enjoyed the online festival, and thought it was well done by all. I had to miss all of Sunday since I had to attend a funeral for my cousin.
I also appreciated the promo videos from the sponsors. They actually reached more people that way.
Such a great experience! Wow, the workshops! Really great subjects. Loved them all. Loved Gerald Ross's three note system. Very cool, and great for folks who struggle with barre chords. Loved Devin Scott's solo'ing approach. Both classes that bridge players to improve their skills. Loved Mim Ukes's performance class. Loved Jay Nunes's open mics. So much talent! Loved that they evolved into jams. (I turn into a pumpkin at midnight tho). Loved Matt Walden's looping presentation. And I look forward to making up the workshops I couldn't attend. Loved all the performers! Danielle Anderson always amazing!
A memorable event. I also enjoyed learning more about TBUS and all the fine work you do as an organization, not just to further uke education, but to help with real social issues. Bravo! Very exciting!

Last year at Sirata was my first TBUG, and it was wonderful. TBUS is the ukulele club that the rest of us can learn from! I enjoyed this year and was glad we had the open mikes where we could see old friends, send notes and wave hi! I think it was a good plan to block us out of the workshops, it had to be easier for the presenters not to worry about The Oblivious Unmuted or other interruptions. I really enjoyed the Naked Waiters and Amanda's songwriting workshops and Danielle's video-how-to workshop. I can't wait to visit the recordings of the ones I missed! Thanks TBUS for all the inspiration and ideas for myself and for my club.
Hope to go next year 2021 and play!

As a "newbie" gotta tell ya wow what a weekend...having "missed" last year's Panama City Beach event (due to Michael), THIS event, for me, was long overdue and didn't disappoint!

Ok. True story. I’m walking through the Airport with my Uke. A girl Stops me and says “Were you at the Ukulele convention ? I was at the bar on Thursday and we had so much fun singing and dancing and just listening to the Ukulele players. I talked to a guy with white hair”. She repeated. “ it was so much fun”
